Do not place in the tumble dryer and do not hang on the clothes line, as this may stretch the fabric and pull it out of shape.
We recommend steaming with a steam iron for the best and safest finish, as opposed to ironing which may crush or flatten the natural pile of the yarns. Especially with cashmere hoodies , to keep the perfectly rounded hood, steaming is by far the best way to iron.
There are some instances in which you might be better off taking your cashmere knits to the professional rather than attempting to tackle them yourself. Stains and spills should always be dealt with ASAP, but what about regular maintenance? That said, if you have a whole pile of knits sitting in your wardrobe then you may only need to wash them once or twice a season.
Wearing undershirts or camis can also help prolong the amount of time between cleaning sessions. If nothing else, at least be sure to wash all your cashmere pieces before stowing them away for the off season in order to prevent stains or smells from settling in for the long haul.
